In the vibrant and enthusiastic spirit of the Corporation-wide Economic and Technical Sports Competition, from November 27th to 29th 2024, Tan Cang Maritime Services JSC (TCMS) organized the Unit-level Technical Sports Competition, with the participation of all crew members from the tugboat fleet
The competition was organized to enhance the skills and technical expertise of the tugboat crew while also providing an opportunity to update knowledge in the management, operation, and maintenance of equipment. This was also a practical activity in response to the emulation movement “Effective, sustainable, safe, and economical management and operation of weapons and technical equipment, and traffic safety.” It helped foster a sense of responsibility and professional awareness throughout the unit.
This year’s competition featured a comprehensive range of activities including: inspection of professional logbook records on board; a multiple-choice test on road traffic safety knowledge; assessment of technical equipment safety management; and practical drills in emergency response handling.
The results of the technical competition not only reflected the quality of training and the crew’s ability to perform tasks in real-world scenarios, but also served as an important basis for the Party Committee and the Company’s Board of Directors to evaluate the effectiveness of training activities. From there, it enables continuous improvement of training content and methods practically and effectively, aligned with the requirements of production and business tasks in the new context.
Through the competition, outstanding individuals and teams were identified for their excellence in leadership, command, and safe and efficient vessel operation. From there, top-performing crew members will be selected for further training and development, serving as a talent pool for the company’s future growth.
