Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company: Successfully Organized the Congress of the Grassroots Labor Union for the 2025–2030 term

On the morning of October 14th 2025, at the Tan Cang Cat Lai Port Hall, the Grassroots Labor Union of Tan Cang Maritime Services Joint Stock Company (TCMS) successfully organized the Congress of the Grassroots Labor Union for the 2025–2030 term. Attending and directing the Congress were: Lieutenant Colonel Truong Cong Cuong, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department – Political Department of Saigon Newport Corporation; Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thi Hong Thu, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of the Company’s Board of Directors; and Senior Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Nghia, Deputy Party Secretary and  Director of the Company. Also present were members of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and 50 delegates representing over 100 officials, employees, and workers of the Company.

Overview of the Congress

During the past term, the Grassroots Labor Union of TCMS has effectively fulfilled its role as the representative organization for employees within the enterprise. It has comprehensively implemented activities and solutions in education and propaganda, emulation movements, participation in management, and promotion of grassroots democracy, while also representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees. The Labor Union has built a strong organizational foundation, becoming a key driving force in all unit-level activities and emulation movements, thereby contributing significantly to building the Company into a comprehensively strong and exemplary unit.

Performance in the 2023–2025 Term, under the leadership and guidance of the Party Committee and Board of Directors, the Grasstoots Labor Union’s activities have been renewed both in content and form. The Company has ensured full implementation of policies regarding wages, social insurance, labor protection, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, while also safeguarding benefits for employees and their families. The Labor Union introduced 11 outstanding employees for Party membership consideration, affirming its role as an important political and social force in implementing all tasks, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization and a comprehensively strong and exemplary unit.

At the Congress, delegates actively participated in discussions, proposing solutions to improve propaganda and education work, encourage Labor Union members’ participation in management, and enhance social and charitable activities to care for employees’ material and spiritual lives. Delegates also discussed plans to further develop emulation movements among officials and Labor Union members in alignment with the Company’s Determined to Win Emulation.

In the 2025–2030 term, the Grassroots Labor Union of TCMS will continue to enhance the effectiveness of emulation campaigns, promote creativity and innovation among Labor Union members, and strive to build a strong, exemplary Labor Union organization whose members take the lead in every task. The goal is to generate practical initiatives and innovations that can be effectively applied to the Company’s operations each year, creating tangible economic and social benefits.

With a spirit of democracy and solidarity, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Grassroots Labor Union for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of three members.
